Comprehensive workplace evaluations that identify the postural and biomechanical factors causing your pain — and fix them at the source.
You spend 8+ hours a day at your desk or workstation, and the nagging pain in your neck, shoulders, or lower back won’t go away no matter how many times you adjust your chair. Headaches creep in by mid-afternoon. Your wrists ache after typing. You’ve tried a standing desk, a new monitor, a lumbar pillow — but nothing sticks because you’re guessing instead of diagnosing.
An ergonomics assessment at Move to Motion goes beyond general advice. Our physiotherapists evaluate your specific body proportions, existing injuries, movement habits, and job demands — then prescribe precise workstation adjustments, corrective exercises, and postural strategies tailored to you. We serve desk workers and manual labourers across Surrey, Newton, North Delta, and Cloverdale. Combined with manual therapy and postural rehabilitation, we don’t just set up your desk — we fix the body that sits at it.
Monitor height, chair setup, keyboard position, and mouse placement — small changes that eliminate the daily strain causing your neck and shoulder pain.
Home offices are often improvised. We assess your actual setup and recommend practical adjustments that work in your space and budget.

Workplace ergonomic programs reduce injury claims, sick days, and worker compensation costs. We provide group assessments and educational workshops.
If your pain is driven by sustained postures and repetitive movements, fixing the environment is as important as treating the body. Chronic pain →
Returning to work after an injury? We ensure your workstation supports recovery and doesn’t recreate the conditions that caused the problem.
Your physiotherapist begins with a physical assessment — evaluating your posture, flexibility, strength, and any existing conditions. We then review your workstation setup (in-clinic simulation or via photos/video of your actual workspace). Every element is assessed: chair height, monitor distance and angle, keyboard and mouse position, desk height, lighting, and screen arrangement.
You receive a detailed report with specific, actionable recommendations — not generic tips. We also prescribe corrective exercises targeting the muscle imbalances your work posture has created. If you’re experiencing pain related to your workspace, we can integrate treatment with IMS, manual therapy, or laser therapy in the same visit.
Yes. The majority of persistent neck, shoulder, and upper back pain in office workers is driven by workstation setup and postural habits. An ergonomics assessment identifies and corrects the specific factors contributing to your pain.
If possible, bring photos or video of your actual workspace from multiple angles. If you can’t, we’ll simulate your setup in-clinic using adjustable furniture. Wear the clothes and shoes you normally work in.
Yes. Ergonomics assessments performed by a registered physiotherapist are covered by most extended health plans. WorkSafeBC may also cover assessments related to workplace injury claims. We direct-bill all major insurers.
A comprehensive assessment takes 45–60 minutes. This includes the physical assessment, workstation evaluation, recommendations, and initial corrective exercise instruction.
Currently, we conduct assessments at our Surrey clinic. However, we can work with photos and video of your workspace for accurate recommendations. Remote ergonomics consultations are available for employers with multiple staff.
