Chiropractic
Care.

Precision spinal adjustments, joint manipulation, and soft tissue therapy to restore proper alignment, reduce pain, and optimize nervous system function — with lasting results.

Our Approach

Alignment through
evidence-based
care.

Chiropractic care at Move to Motion is grounded in current clinical evidence and integrated with the full scope of services available at our clinic. Our chiropractors combine spinal manipulation with soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercise, and lifestyle education — addressing not just where you hurt, but why.

Rather than providing indefinite passive treatment, we establish clear goals, measurable milestones, and a defined course of care. As your pain resolves and function returns, we transition you to active rehabilitation to build the strength and movement patterns that prevent recurrence.

  • Registered Doctors of Chiropractic — regulated by the College of Chiropractors of BC (CCBC)

  • ICBC direct billing — chiropractic is pre-approved under Enhanced Care for MVA injuries

Conditions Treated

Where chiropractic
excels.

Low Back Pain

Spinal manipulation is one of the most evidence-based treatments for acute and subacute mechanical low back pain — endorsed by major clinical guidelines worldwide.

Neck Pain & Whiplash

Cervical manipulation and mobilization for mechanical neck pain, MVA whiplash, and cervicogenic headache. ICBC direct billing for eligible claims.

Headaches

Cervicogenic and tension-type headaches originating from cervical joint dysfunction and muscular trigger points respond well to chiropractic manipulation.

Disc Injuries

Flexion-distraction and non-force techniques for disc herniations producing arm or leg pain — reducing nerve compression without surgery.

Joint Pain

Peripheral joint manipulation for shoulder, knee, ankle, and wrist conditions — restoring normal joint mechanics and reducing inflammation.

Sciatica

Lumbar manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitative exercise to reduce nerve root irritation and restore pain-free movement.

Postural Conditions

Thoracic spine manipulation and soft tissue work to address kyphosis, rounded shoulders, and forward head posture driving chronic pain.

Workplace Injuries

Musculoskeletal injuries from lifting, repetitive work, and prolonged postures — WorkSafeBC covered with return-to-work focus.

Sports Injuries

Extremity manipulation and soft tissue therapy for ankle sprains, shoulder impingement, and other sports-related joint conditions.

Treatment Methods

Precision tools
for every
spine.

Modern chiropractic uses a range of techniques — not just the traditional high-velocity thrust. Our chiropractors select the most appropriate method for each joint, each patient, and each presentation, ensuring that treatment is safe, comfortable, and effective.

All patients receive a thorough examination before any manipulation is performed, including a neurological screen, orthopaedic testing, and red flag screening. Chiropractic care is safe — serious adverse events are extremely rare, occurring at an estimated rate of 1 in 5.85 million manipulations.

  • Diversified technique — traditional high-velocity, low-amplitude spinal thrust manipulation
  • Soft tissue therapy — myofascial release, ART (Active Release Technique), and trigger point therapy
  • Extremity adjusting — peripheral joint manipulation for shoulders, knees, ankles, and wrists
  • Rehabilitative exercise — prescription of specific exercises to stabilize and restore function
  • Kinesiotaping — supportive taping to facilitate movement and reduce pain between sessions
Your Visit

What to
expect.

Your first chiropractic appointment begins with a comprehensive health history and physical examination. This typically takes 45–60 minutes. If your condition is appropriate for chiropractic care, treatment begins in the same session. You receive a clear diagnosis, an explanation of the findings, and a recommended treatment plan with a defined number of sessions and expected outcomes.

Follow-up appointments are typically 20–30 minutes. As your condition improves, the focus shifts from passive manipulation to active rehabilitation, home exercises, and self-management strategies that reduce your long-term dependency on treatment.

  • No referral required — direct access in British Columbia
  • Comprehensive intake and examination at your first visit
  • Treatment begins in session one if appropriate
  • Clear treatment plan with defined goals and milestones
  • ICBC, WorkSafeBC, and extended health direct billing
  • X-ray referral available through our network if clinically indicated
