Precision spinal adjustments and joint manipulation to restore alignment, improve nervous system function, and resolve the structural root of your pain.
Our Approach
Chiropractic care at Move to Motion focuses on identifying and correcting structural misalignments that cause pain, restrict movement, and compromise nervous system function. We use a combination of precision spinal adjustments, joint mobilisation, and soft tissue therapy to address the root of your symptoms — not just where it hurts, but the underlying biomechanical dysfunction driving the problem.
What makes our chiropractic approach different is that it doesn’t exist in isolation. We work alongside our physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists under one roof — so if your condition would benefit from a combined approach, we coordinate your care seamlessly. Many patients see both a chiropractor and a physiotherapist at Move to Motion for the best results, and our team communicates about your progress to ensure every treatment builds on the last.
What We Treat
The most common reason people see a chiropractor. Spinal adjustments restore joint mobility, reduce nerve irritation, and relieve muscle spasm in the lumbar spine.
Cervical adjustments address joint restrictions from desk work, poor posture, sleep position, and whiplash injuries. Often provides immediate relief.
Cervicogenic headaches and tension headaches frequently originate from the upper cervical spine and suboccipital muscles. Adjustments address the source directly. Headache treatments →
Nerve compression from disc issues, piriformis tightness, or SI joint dysfunction. Chiropractic care reduces pressure on the sciatic nerve through targeted adjustments. Spinal decompression →
Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, and thoracic kyphosis respond well to a combination of chiropractic adjustments and corrective exercise prescription.
Joint mobility, spinal alignment, and neuromuscular function all influence athletic performance. Regular chiropractic care helps prevent injuries and maintain peak function.
Collaborative Care
Chiropractic adjustments are most effective when combined with active rehabilitation and soft tissue work. At Move to Motion, we frequently combine chiropractic with other services for comprehensive care.
Your Visit
Your first chiropractic appointment includes a thorough assessment of your spine, posture, range of motion, and neurological function. We explain exactly what we find, whether adjustments are appropriate, and what a realistic treatment plan looks like. If your condition requires additional support, we may recommend combining chiropractic with active rehabilitation to strengthen the corrections and prevent recurrence.
Adjustments are quick, precise, and generally painless. You may hear a “pop” — this is simply gas releasing from the joint and is completely normal. Many patients feel immediate improvement in mobility and pain after their first visit. No referral is needed in BC. ICBC and WorkSafeBC both cover chiropractic care, and we direct bill to all major extended health insurers. Visit our FAQ page for more details.
