We don’t treat symptoms in isolation — we assess the entire kinetic chain to understand why you’re in pain, not just where. This means evaluating how your joints, muscles, nerves, and movement patterns interact, so we can identify the true origin of your condition.
We combine hands-on manual therapy with targeted exercise rehabilitation, building a tailored program fitting your lifestyle and work demands. Our physiotherapists work closely with our acupuncturists, massage therapists, and chiropractor under one roof, so your care is seamlessly coordinated across disciplines. Serving Newton, North Delta, Cloverdale, and the greater Surrey area.
Your initial assessment is 45–60 minutes. We take a detailed history, assess how you move, perform specific clinical tests, and explain exactly what’s happening in your body and why. You’ll receive hands-on treatment in your very first session — not just a talk. Many patients feel meaningful improvement after just one visit.
From there, we build a tailored recovery plan with clear milestones, a home exercise program, and a realistic timeline. Follow-up sessions are 30–45 minutes and include manual therapy, exercise, and any specialized modalities your condition requires. As you progress, we may transition you to our active rehabilitation program for supervised exercise-based recovery.

“I came in after knee surgery and was nervous about rehab. The whole process was explained clearly, and I felt stronger every week. Direct billing to my insurance made everything seamless. Highly recommend.”
“I’ve been to other physio clinics in Surrey and this one is different. They actually listen, spend the full time with you, and don’t rush you out. My shoulder mobility improved dramatically in 4 weeks.”
No. In British Columbia, you can see a registered physiotherapist without a doctor’s referral. You can book directly online or call us at (604) 999-4442. Some extended health plans may require a doctor’s note for reimbursement — check with your provider if unsure.
Yes. Physiotherapy is covered by most extended health plans, ICBC motor vehicle accident claims (25 pre-approved sessions, no referral needed), and WorkSafeBC workplace injury claims. We direct-bill to all major insurers including Manulife, Sun Life, Pacific Blue Cross, Great-West Life, Desjardins, and more.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows your physiotherapist to access the area being treated. Shorts and a t-shirt work well for most assessments. Bring your insurance information, any imaging reports (X-rays, MRIs), and a list of current medications. Read our first-timer’s guide for full details.
This depends on your specific condition, severity, and goals. Many patients notice improvement within 2–4 sessions. Acute injuries may resolve in 4–8 sessions, while chronic or post-surgical conditions may require 8–16+. Your physiotherapist will give you a clear treatment plan and timeline at your first visit.
Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement and function through manual therapy, exercise, and specialized modalities. Chiropractic centres on spinal alignment and joint manipulation. Massage therapy addresses soft tissue tension and promotes relaxation. At Move to Motion, all three work together under one roof for coordinated care.
