Specialized rehabilitation for hand, wrist, and upper extremity injuries — restoring grip strength, dexterity, and pain-free function using evidence-based techniques.
The hand is one of the most complex structures in the human body — over 27 bones, 29 joints, and more than 30 muscles work together to produce the fine motor control we rely on every day. Injury or surgery to the hand and wrist demands specialized rehabilitation to restore full function.
Our therapists are trained in hand rehabilitation and work closely with hand surgeons and orthopaedic specialists to ensure seamless post-operative and conservative care.
Tendon repairs, fracture fixation, carpal tunnel release, Dupuytren’s fasciectomy — structured protocol-based rehab.
Repetitive strain, cumulative trauma disorders, return-to-work programs. ICBC and WorkSafeBC covered.
Finger pulley injuries in climbers, UCL sprains in ball sport athletes, mallet finger in fielding injuries.
Vibration-related conditions, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, and overuse injuries from manual tools.
CMC arthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture, fracture rehabilitation, maintaining hand function and independence.
Overuse tendinopathies, focal dystonia management, fine motor rehabilitation for performance demands.
Hand therapy requires precision. Treatment follows evidence-based protocols developed by hand surgeons and certified hand therapists — particularly important after tendon or nerve repair where premature or delayed mobilization has significant consequences.
We work within surgical protocols and communicate directly with your surgeon to ensure your rehabilitation is timed correctly and progresses safely.
While many patients are referred by their hand surgeon or orthopaedic specialist, you do not need a referral to access hand therapy in BC. Bring any imaging (X-rays, MRI, ultrasound), operative reports, or specialist letters to your first appointment — these help us understand your injury and tailor treatment from day one.
